INITIATIVES

UVCE Foundation works closely with the Government, University, faculty, student body, alumni and other well-wishers to bring the college at par with top institutions in the country. The Foundation has actively worked and implemented various initiatives to support this end.

UVCE INFRASTRUCTURE AUGMENTATION

Since 2002: Investment Rs 3 Crore Current project : Computer lab and Placement office 90 lakhs (2019)

Phase 1: In the first phase, we funded 90 lakhs for CS labs 1-4 and the placement office 

Phase 2: In the second phase (2022-2024), we will be funding different labs in different departments to an aggregate amount of 2.6 Crs, and enable collaboration with industry partners Phase 3: In the third phase (2024-2026), we will be funding 6.5 Crs for different departments.

UVCE Foundation has contributed 90 Lakhs for the establishment of computer labs (1-4) and placement offices that included smart boards, furnishing, computers and other infrastructure to meet the latest standards.

The foundation has also furnished the placement office anew keeping in mind the requirements of the MNCs that visit UVCE for placements. The Foundation has employed professional interior designers to and design establish a completely new fully furnished placement office and labs in the old Electrical lab premises.

WATER INSTITUTE UVCE
Foundation has signed an MoU with Bangalore University to establish a Water institute at UVCE Civil Department , that focuses on research and projects in association with top University professors from UVCE, IISc, and USA. 2019 POWER ELECTRONICS LAB

PRERANA- PARTNERSHIP WITH INFOSYS FOUNDATION

A partnership to provide last mile soft-skills and pre-placement training

Prerana is a student training program to provide soft skills training in communication, aptitude and mathematics. An ambitious project to help students cross the last mile in their placements. A successful training carried out annually is one by INFOSYS FOUNDATION for pre-placment students. The program is volunteer-driven. We invite alumni and well-wishers to contribute for worthwhile training modules for the current students.

UVCE Foundation Innovation challenge aims to identify and support brilliant innovations and help entrepreneurial minded students in following their passion.

UVCE FOUNDATION -  ROTARY
- A partnership for UVCE

UVCE Foundation works toward developing effective partnership with other not-for-profit organizations, corporate, alumni organizations or agencies to better serve the community and carry out its mission to support UVCE. UVCE Foundation is proud to partner Rotary Bangalore South through the UVCE Foundation-Rotary Bangalore South MoU for that will maintain a Rs 40 Lakhs.

  • Renovation of toilets / rest-rooms in the main campus & undertake maintenance of the same
  • Provided drinking water facility at 3 different points in the college
  • Refurbish benches/desks in the main campus
  • Furnish one ‘model’ classroom with latest furniture
  • Complete cleanup of the main campus
  • Provided sponsorship to various student-led technical & cultural activities
  • Complete survey plan of the main campus (including mechanical block)
  • Supported the college in preparing documentation for the Rs. 50 Crore World Bank grant under the TEQIP program
  • Assist college authorities in pursuing & filling up the faculty intake issue with the university & government
  • Organized UVCE Mega Reunion 2011 to bring together over 1500 alumni of UVCE for a 3 day Magnum Opus on January 1-3, 2011.
